Just Enough Cooks

Nothing brightens Daddy’s morning more than a sight like this:

One quick way to make Matthew happy is to get him bouncing up and down, and there are many options for doing that! Here’s one:

Daddy’s friend Arnie has the coolest thing in the whole world: A skid steer. Mason can’t wait until he’s old enough to take it for a spin:

Daddy had a heck of a time getting him off of this thing so we could go home…

Mason’s friend Ben Gendell recently gave him this fire truck for his birthday, and to say that he loves it is an understatement:

Daddy took a little time off from normal duties today to go see the game:

We took a trip to the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington, DC today. Daddy and Matthew took some time to talk with a distant relative:

One of the cooler features of this zoo is that they have a system that allows the orangutans to travel around the zoo on overhead cables. Mason was enthralled:

Mason also like all the old standy-by’s, too. Especially the elephants:

Unfortunately, a horde of yellow jackets swarmed around Mommy while she was trying to feed Matthew and stung her on the hand, so we ended the day. That wasn’t a very good ending, but overall it was still a great day at the zoo.
