Field Trip!
Mason, Mommy, and Daddy went on a field trip today with all of his other friends from daycare. It was an adventure from the very beginning, starting with the very fun bus ride:
Mason was very interested in seeing all the animals:

He even got to feed some of the animals!

We met a really cute bunny:

And Mason got to go on a pony ride!

…although it did sort of seem as though the horse wasn’t really into it. Perhaps he was just not feeling well:
Mason got to pick out his own pumpkin. I think this may have been his favorite part of the whole day, because he took it extremely seriously, and I think he picked up and examined every single pumpkin in the field. Choices, choices!

After that we played a little hide-and-seek:
And then Mason got to play Jonah for a bit:

Mason also really enjoyed pretending to be the captain of a big pirate ship:

Soon afterwards, Mommy read the warning sign on this particular feature and realized there was a sliding pole and a sizable hole in the top deck, so she decided that she should probably go rescue him. This wasn’t easy, because that ship was crowded.
Hey! Get Away From My Stuff!
Matthew’s increased awareness of the world around him and his rapid approach toward full mobility have resulted in some small disagreements between him and his brother recently. Here, Daddy gives Mason fair warning of an impending encroachment, and it is clear that Mason has the concept down pat:
New Patio
We’ve recently had a new patio constructed in our back yard:
I think it’s safe to say that both boys appreciate the opportunity to spend more time outside:

Nelly and Lucy seem to like it as well:

Outside is, of course, the best place to play with your garbage truck:
Any place is a good place to hang out with Mommy:
